On Wednesday, September 25th The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced that it has set a date for gathering public opinion regarding the proposed mini-casino in Springettsbury Township.
As per reports, the owner of Hollywood Casino in Grantville, Penn national gaming has set its sights on launching the proposed mini-casino in the former Sears store at York Galleria.
While making a decision to grant or deny a license for Hollywood Casino York, the board has said that it will make use of the intel it has gathered through trusted sources.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board also mentioned that initially, the proposed casino will offer 20 table games and 500 slot machines, which will gradually increase to 40 table games and 750 slot machines.
Thursday, November 1st is the date set for the public hearing for people to voice their support or opposition.
The hearing will begin at 10 am and will be conducted in the Springettsbury Township Municipal Administration Building, at 1501 Mount Zion Road.
It is also mentioned by The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board that 30th October is set as the deadline for registration to speak.
