Trevor Noah Reacts With Humour to Dua Lipa Dating Speculation

Nearly two months after their dinner outing in New York City sparked widespread speculation, Trevor Noah has finally responded to rumours linking him romantically with pop star Dua Lipa — and he did it with humour befitting his reputation as a seasoned comedian.
Back in late September, fans were sent into a frenzy after Trevor and Dua were spotted sharing a meal together in the city. The sighting quickly ignited rumours that the two might be romantically involved. However, neither of them publicly confirmed or denied the buzz at the time.
Now, Trevor has finally weighed in — sort of. In a profile published by The Hollywood Reporter on November 21, the former Daily Show host was asked directly about the dating rumours. Rather than offering a formal response, Trevor simply leaned back and let out a laugh, brushing off the speculation with ease.
While the internet was busy guessing the nature of their relationship, Dua Lipa addressed her own romantic status not long after their dinner. Speaking candidly on the October 7 episode of her podcast Dua Lipa: At Your Service, she clarified that she’s currently enjoying time on her own.
“This is the first year in a long time that I haven’t been in a relationship,” she shared. “It’s been really great just being by myself, focusing on my own needs, and embracing a bit of selfishness in a healthy way.”
Despite the rumours, both Trevor and Dua seem to hold each other in high regard. On the October 21 episode of her podcast, Trevor spoke fondly of their interactions, particularly at events.
“I told my friend once, ‘Every time I see Dua Lipa, it’s at an awards show. So, seeing her must mean things are going really well in my life,’” he said, jokingly adding, “Now I just want to see her more often to make sure my life keeps going well.”
His comments didn’t stop there. Trevor went on to praise the pop star’s character, describing her as consistently kind and genuine. “You’ve always been gracious and lovely,” he told her. “You bring this really warm energy wherever you go, and I truly appreciate you taking the time.”
Trevor Noah, who is set to step down from The Daily Show this December, has always been known for his quick wit and light-hearted approach to media buzz — and this time is no different. Rather than fan the flames or shut them down harshly, he let laughter do the talking, keeping things respectful and upbeat.
While the internet may not have received a definitive answer, one thing is clear: both Trevor and Dua value their friendship, and they’re navigating public curiosity with class and good humour.
