Strong June for Saint-Vincent Casino, Hotel Sector Follows Positive Trend

The Casino de Saint-Vincent in Italy continued its strong financial performance in June, recording total revenues of €5.6 million. This figure marks a positive difference of €322,039 compared to the same month in 2024. Slot machines accounted for €3.3 million, up €235,492 from last year, while table games brought in €2.3 million, an increase of €86,547.
Despite the rise in takings, visitor numbers dipped. The casino welcomed 23,278 guests in June, which is 2,170 fewer than in June 2024. However, the overall trend for the first six months of the year remains positive. Gross revenues since the beginning of 2025 have reached €39,462,025—an increase of €4,348,305 over the same period in 2024. Of this, €17,938,998 came from table games and €21,523,027 from slots. Visitor numbers for the year to 30 June stand at 164,775, which is broadly in line with last year’s figures, with just 1,387 more admissions than in 2024.
The Grand Hotel Billia, closely linked to the casino, also saw impressive gains. Direct sales for June totalled €589,593, up €107,516 compared to June 2024. The hotel’s overall sales performance for the first half of the year remained on an upward curve, generating €3.4 million—an increase of €656,285 compared to the first six months of last year. Average room occupancy since January was 45 percent, highlighting a steady demand for hospitality services in the region.
Detroit Casinos Report $101 Million in Revenue for June
In the United States, the Michigan Gaming Control Board announced that Detroit’s three casinos—MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity Casino, and Hollywood Casino at Greektown—generated a combined revenue of $101.04 million in June 2025.
Of the total, $100.38 million came from table games and slot machines. Retail sports betting contributed an additional $665,435.

Performance Compared to Previous Year
Table games and slots revenue decreased by 4% compared to June 2024 and fell by 11% from May 2025. For the first half of 2025, combined revenue from table games and slots was down 0.8% year-on-year.

The three casinos paid $8.1 million in state gaming taxes for June, a slight drop from $8.5 million in June 2024. They also contributed $11.9 million in wagering taxes and development agreement payments to the city of Detroit.
Retail Sports Betting Sees Decline
In June, Detroit casinos took a combined $7.2 million in retail sports bets, resulting in $666,374 in gross revenue. Qualified Adjusted Gross Receipts (QAGR) from sports betting declined by 25.1% compared to June 2024 and by 48.1% compared to May 2025.

Fantasy contest operators recorded $716,927 in adjusted revenues in May 2025, contributing $60,222 in taxes.
